The Portes du Soleil area continues to invest in new lifts to improve speed and efficiency in the area. For winter 2011/2012 two new lifts will be installed, replacing the existing installations. The old 2 seater Rochassons lift will be replaced with a high speed detachable 6 seater chairlift which will mean a much quicker uplift to Avoriaz after skiing in Plain Dranse.
